Connor Group is moving away from using moderation on large email groups, such as "CG Employees", for mass communication. Instead, replacement contact points for mass-communication will be available for purpose specific messaging. Individual people will be granted permission to send messages to these new contact points and will be held accountable for following these policies and standards for mass communication.
Content
Content of mass communication must be clear and concise in its messaging. Messages must contain only professional content and be well formatted.
- Review the email to make sure that:
- Formatting and content look professional.
- No glaring mistakes/typos -- read it aloud. Have someone else proof-read it.
- Make sure any hyperlinks work as expected.
Audience
Senders must be deliberate and meticulous about selecting the audience for their messages.
- Review the email to make sure that:
- Mass communication email recipients must be placed on the BCC line.
- Double check the recipients of the message.
- Retracting an email is a technically undependable and time-consuming process.
Timing
Mass communication messages may not be sent during holidays or weekend hours unless explicitly approved by the company President.
- DO NOT send email after 5pm Easter time on Friday or before 7am Eastern time on Monday.
- DO NOT send email after 5pm Easter time on the day before a company holiday.
